Taraba State Secures $268.63M from ECOWAS Bank

The Taraba State Government signed a significant agreement worth US$268.63 million with the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) to implement strategic development projects. The signing took place in Jalingo, with Barr.

This agreement is noted as the largest single development financing package ever secured by Taraba State, marking a new era for strategic investment in critical sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture, renewable energy, and industrial development.

The financing package was approved during the 93rd ordinary session of the EBID Board of Directors held at the bank's headquarters in Lomé, Togo, under the chairmanship of EBID President Dr. George Agyekum Donkor.

The statement from the Taraba State Government emphasized that this funding reflects the confidence of the regional development financial institution in the state's strategic vision and fiscal discipline under the leadership of Governor Kefa.
