Police Investigate Attack on APC Leader Tawa Agaka

The Kwara State Police Command has initiated an investigation into an alleged disruption and attack involving the Kwara Central APC Women Leader, Alhaja Tawa Agaka, during a political event in Ilorin on Saturday. Agaka was campaigning for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and other APC candidates in preparation for the 2027 elections.

The incident has led to various reactions, particularly on social media, with some individuals being linked to the attack. The police have invited these individuals to clarify their involvement.

In response, the Agaka Youth Unity Movement has rejected claims associating Alhaji Yusuf Abdullah Amuda Eru Lagaka with the attack, labeling such allegations as politically motivated. The group emphasized the need for a transparent investigation and cautioned against labeling individuals without credible evidence.

They called for political restraint in reporting the incident, highlighting the importance of focusing on ideas and leadership rather than character assassination as the political climate intensifies ahead of the elections.
