TCN and AfDB Distribute Farm Implements in Kano

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) conducted a two-day sensitization program on June 25-26, 2026, at Bayero University Kano, targeting project-affected persons (PAP) from the Mando Rimin Zakara 330kV quad transmission line project. Ndidi Mbah, General Manager of Public Affairs at TCN, stated that the program was part of efforts to support livelihood restoration.

Beneficiaries received agricultural support packages, including improved maize and bean seedlings and fertilizers, aimed at enhancing productivity and supporting economic recovery in affected communities. Engr.

Ibrahim Aliyu, the Assistant General Manager of Transmission Services for TCN in the Kano region, emphasized the project's strategic importance in strengthening the grid, stabilizing, and improving electricity supply across the region. He encouraged beneficiaries to effectively utilize the agricultural inputs provided and warned that continued occupation of the transmission line right-of-way could pose significant risks.
