Team Nigeria to Face Uzbekistan in 2026 Davis Cup Playoffs at Lago Lawn Tennis Club

Team Nigeria, comprising players like Adeley Daniel, Emmanuel Michael, Bulu Christoph, Abua Canic Alafia Ayeni, is scheduled to compete against Uzbekistan in the 2026 Davis Cup playoffs at the historic Lago Lawn Tennis Club on February 7-8. Following an impressive performance in the African Group III tournament where Nigeria finished among the top teams alongside Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Senegal, Nigeria earned a place in the World Group II playoffs.

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) confirmed Nigeria as the host nation for the tie, giving the team a significant advantage with home support. Victor Ochei, the President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), expressed confidence in the team's preparedness and Nigeria's hosting capabilities.
