The brother of a top deputy governor in Niger State, Umar Garba, tragically passed away at the age of 46 after a brief illness. Umar, who was the chief imam, was the younger brother of the state's deputy governor, Yakubu Garba.

The sad news was confirmed by Ummulkhatume Abdullahi, the press secretary of the deputy governor. Umar left behind a wife, two children, and an aged mother.

His burial is scheduled to take place at the Kuta Central Mosque in Shiroro Local Government Area. The governor's family expressed gratitude for the support received during this difficult time, highlighting the deceased's significant role in the community.
