Lilli Tagger Claims First Title at Prague Open

Lilli Tagger, an 18-year-old from Austria, secured her first senior singles title at the Prague Open on Sunday by defeating Ukrainian player Daria Snigur with a score of 7-6 (7/3), 6-2. In the final, Snigur, who was competing in her first WTA Tour final, initially took a 5-2 lead in the first set but failed to convert any set points as Tagger rallied to win the next three games.

The set reached a tiebreak where Tagger established a 5-1 lead and converted her first set point. In the second set, Tagger broke Snigur's serve in the fourth game and maintained her advantage, serving nine aces throughout the match.

She held serve twice before breaking again in the eighth game, ultimately winning the match in one hour and 29 minutes. Tagger is also recognized as the 2025 Roland Garros girls’ champion.
