Super Falcons Launch New Jersey Ahead of WAFCON 2026

Nigeria’s Super Falcons unveiled a new jersey adorned with 10 stars surrounding the team’s badge in preparation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). Each star represents one of Nigeria’s continental triumphs, as disclosed by ESON Africa on its X handle.

The nine-time African champions debuted this special kit during a 2-1 international friendly victory against Tanzania’s Twiga Stars. The 10 stars signify the Super Falcons' status as the most successful team in the competition's history, having won the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations nine times.

Under the leadership of current coach Justin Madugu, the team aims to extend their record by securing an 11th title. The 2026 WAFCON is set to commence on Saturday, with the Super Falcons opening their title defense against Malawi, a tournament debutant, at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on Tuesday.
