Thugs Attack NDC Office in Emohua, Destroy Campaign Materials

On September 2, 2026, suspected political thugs attacked the secretariat of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) located in Emohua Local Government Area, destroying campaign materials and signages. The incident occurred on Wednesday night, with assailants tearing down large billboards and campaign banners from the building's exterior.

Hon. Fugbara Ohaka, the NDC candidate for Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency, confirmed the attack and urged party members and supporters to remain calm and law-abiding. He emphasized that political disagreements should not escalate into violence or property destruction and called for an investigation by security agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Ohaka reiterated the importance of a campaign driven by ideas and service rather than intimidation, appealing for tolerance and responsible engagement among political actors in the region ahead of the 2027 general elections.
