Ted Cruz Accuses Nigerian Officials of Terrorism Complicity

On Tuesday, during a session in the U.S. Senate, Senator Ted Cruz accused Nigerian government officials of being complicit in facilitating violence and terrorism against Christians in Nigeria.

Cruz lamented that despite the government's promises to address the security crisis, violence against Christians continues unabated. He referenced a report indicating that since 2009, approximately 50,000 Christians have been murdered in Nigeria, with 20,000 churches, schools, and religious institutions destroyed.

Cruz criticized the Nigerian government for practicing Sharia law while allegedly overlooking the actions of terrorists who launch attacks on unsuspecting citizens. He also claimed that the federal government is aware of these issues but has chosen to manipulate media narratives.
