Bandits Kill Vigilante, Abduct Woman and Son in Kaduna

In an attack on Wednesday night in Kyauta, Millennium City, Kaduna state, bandits killed local vigilante Mustapha Baba, who succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment at Barau Dikko Specialist Hospital. His brother, Yusuf Baba, confirmed the incident via social media.

The attackers targeted a house near the Mai-Rago Friday Mosque, demanding the owner, but instead abducted the owner's wife and son. This incident is part of a troubling trend of violence in Kyauta and surrounding areas.

Residents have expressed concerns over security and infrastructure, urging the Kaduna state government and security agencies to enhance road access for better emergency response. Alhaji Abu Mohammed, Chairman of the Millennium City Security, Development and Enhancement Forum, emphasized the need to prioritize the completion of the Eastern Bypass road project to improve security operations.
