TG Omori Reveals Kidney Transplant Challenges and Struggles

TG Omori, a director, discussed his kidney transplant ordeal during an appearance on the Afropolitan podcast. He revealed that his health issues began after receiving a diagnosis in Nigeria, with his condition worsening in 2023 while in New York.

After further tests, a nephrologist recommended a kidney transplant due to deteriorating kidney function. The search for a compatible donor lasted about nine months, during which Omori's brother offered to donate a kidney.

Unfortunately, the transplant was unsuccessful as Omori's body rejected the kidney after a lengthy surgery. Omori expressed the emotional pain of being unable to work during his recovery, amidst rumors about his career.

He also reflected on the impact of fame on his life and clarified misconceptions about the earnings of music video directors in Nigeria, noting that they often take on multiple roles due to smaller production crews compared to Hollywood.
