Nigerian Drug Suspect Arrested in Thailand for Fleeing Trial

Ukoma Jefta Nuzbech, a Nigerian national based in Thailand, was arrested for fleeing a drug-trafficking trial in Koh Pha Ngan. He was initially arrested in March 2025 for selling cocaine but failed to appear in court, leading to his recent arrest.

Nuzbech was found with cocaine, cash, and a mobile phone containing drug-related messages. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
