Peter Obi Critiques Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda

Peter Obi, the 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), criticized President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda during an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Sunday Politics’. Obi described the agenda as a "failure and renewed hopelessness," asserting that it has failed to inspire confidence or improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

He rejected any comparisons between his vision of rebuilding the economy through production and Tinubu's agenda, stating, “No, no. That’s renewed hopelessness.

It’s not working.” Obi emphasized that Nigerians need real hope built on visible progress rather than mere political messaging. He expressed his commitment to providing "tangible hope that people will see and feel" if he is elected as President.
