Emeka Ike Protests INEC Over NDC Primary Results

Emeka Ike, a Nollywood actor and aspirant for the House of Representatives, expressed his dissatisfaction with the conduct of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) primary elections during a protest at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Abuja. Ike arrived visibly upset, demanding answers from INEC officials regarding the alleged irregularities in the primary elections for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) federal constituency seat.

He accused the process of undermining democratic principles and vowed to pursue the matter through all available channels. Ike emphasized the need for transparency and fairness in the electoral process, arguing that political parties and relevant institutions should be held accountable whenever questions arise about the conduct of internal elections.

Although INEC is not directly responsible for conducting party primaries, it is mandated to monitor the electoral exercise to ensure compliance with electoral regulations.
