Manchester City Found Guilty of 114 Financial Breaches

An independent commission has reportedly found Manchester City guilty of 114 out of 115 charges related to breaches of Premier League financial regulations. This decision follows a lengthy investigation that began in 2019 and culminated in formal charges in February 2023.

The allegations span from the 2009-10 season to the 2017-18 season, accusing the club of failing to provide accurate financial information and breaching various financial regulations. The charges include 54 related to inaccurate financial reporting, 14 concerning player and manager payment disclosures, five regarding UEFA regulations, and seven related to the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules.

Additionally, 35 charges pertain to the club's alleged failure to cooperate with Premier League investigations from December 2018 to February 2023. While the commission's decision has been reported, no sanctions have been announced, and Manchester City is expected to appeal the ruling.

The Premier League has not commented publicly due to confidentiality surrounding the proceedings.
