President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima have spent significant time abroad during their administration, with Tinubu accumulating approximately 344 days across 51 trips to 30 countries, covering around 260,000 nautical miles and 400 flight hours. His travels included 50 days in Paris for multiple official and private engagements, meetings with former President Muhammadu Buhari in London, and attendance at various international summits such as the G20 and the African Union.

Shettima spent approximately 83 days abroad visiting 17 countries. Critics have raised concerns about the frequency of these travels amid Nigeria's economic challenges, including rising inflation and insecurity.

Tinubu's foreign engagements are argued to be aimed at restoring investor confidence and strengthening diplomatic ties to attract investments. His travels included significant events like the 63rd independence anniversary of Guinea-Bissau and the COP28 climate summit in Dubai.
