Yemi Adamolekun Rejects ADC Appointment to Policy Committee

Yemi Adamolekun, a civil society leader and former Executive Director of Enough is Enough Nigeria (EiE), has rejected her appointment to the newly constituted policy manifesto committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The committee, approved by the party's National Working Committee led by Senator David Mark, aims to bring together a diverse group of Nigerians, including former public officeholders, academics, technocrats, policy experts, civil society leaders, and professionals, to formulate credible policies for the party.

The committee is chaired by former Edo State Governor, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, with Professor Pat Utomi as the deputy chairman and Salihu Lukman as the secretary. In response to her inclusion without consent, Adamolekun criticized the move, stating that it does not contribute to building credibility.

The ADC's National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, clarified that membership in the committee is not restricted to party members or politicians.
