FRSC Recovers Stolen Police Officer's Car in Anambra

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) recovered a Toyota Camry belonging to serving police officer Mr. Ndem John Okori nearly three years after it was stolen. The recovery occurred on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the Nnewi Motor Licensing Authority office in Anambra State, following the detection of irregularities during a vehicle licence application.

The FRSC officer, while verifying vehicle details, found inconsistencies that prompted an investigation. Mr. Okori confirmed that his vehicle had been stolen from his residence in Ibeku, Umuahia, Abia State, on June 23, 2023.

After reporting the theft, the vehicle remained unrecovered until the FRSC's intervention. The investigation led to the arrest of a suspect who attempted to obtain proof of ownership for the vehicle.

The stolen Toyota Camry was recovered at approximately 1706HRS on August 4, 2026, and has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Area Command, Nnewi, for further investigation and prosecution. The vehicle had been bearing an unauthorized registration number.
