She explained that her transformation into a born-again Christian led her to join the Redeemed Christian Church of God, which advocates for a lifestyle that discourages wearing jewelry.

Foluke noted that while she once loved fashion, her commitment to her faith required her to abandon items that were not conducive to her new spiritual path. She reflected on the surprise of her family and acquaintances regarding her decision, which included suggestions that she give the jewelry to her mother for sale.
