Timi Frank Alleges Plot Against El-Rufai and Ayeni

Timi Frank, a former deputy spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress, has alleged a plot to eliminate former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and businessman Toni Ayeni. In a statement made on Sunday, Frank called for their immediate release, expressing serious concerns over their prolonged detention and the conditions surrounding their bail.

He claimed that top-ranking officials within President Bola Tinubu's government are orchestrating this alleged plot, citing anonymous security sources warning of potential harm to El-Rufai. Frank also referenced El-Rufai's previous custodianship of independent corruption practices related to offenses against the commission.

Additionally, he mentioned that Ayeni has faced persecution due to perceived political affiliations with opposition parties, noting a previous case against him brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that was discharged in court. Frank's statements raise alarms about the involvement of judicial offices in the ongoing situation.
