Atiku Urges Tinubu to Tackle Nigeria's Real Challenges

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), called on President Bola Tinubu to prioritize addressing Nigeria's economic and security challenges rather than engaging in political battles. This statement followed Tinubu's declaration of readiness to "wrestle" his political opponents during a meeting with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

In a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku criticized Tinubu's comments as misguided and indicative of an administration attempting to distract from its poor performance. He highlighted pressing issues such as inflation, hunger, insecurity, and unemployment, asserting that these should be the President's focus.

Atiku emphasized that the true measure of the administration's success would be judged by the electorate in the 2027 general elections, urging Tinubu to avoid unnecessary political grandstanding and instead work on improving governance and living conditions for Nigerians.
