Akpabio Assures Nigerians of Tinubu's Security Commitment

On Wednesday, Senate President Godswill Akpabio assured Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is intensifying efforts to combat insecurity in the country. During a courtesy visit from the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria, led by National President Dr.

Lima Ahmed, Akpabio expressed confidence that the current security challenges, including terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping, would soon be resolved. He highlighted the recent rescue of abducted schoolchildren in Oyo State as evidence of the Federal Government's commitment to improving security.

Akpabio stated, “As Nigerians, we are all aware of the insecurity challenges that we are currently facing,” and assured that the administration is giving the situation its utmost attention. He also cautioned against relying on social media for accurate information about the security situation.

Additionally, Akpabio discussed women's participation in politics and pledged support for an upcoming international ladies golf tournament at the IBB International Golf and Country Club in Abuja.
