Tinubu Forms APC Campaign Council for 2027 Elections

President Bola Tinubu has constituted the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in preparation for the 2027 general election. Senator Abdulaziz Yari, a former Governor of Zamfara State, has been appointed as the Director-General of the council, while Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State will serve as Secretary.

The announcement was made in a statement from the Presidency, signed by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. Tinubu will act as Chairman of the council, with Vice President Kashim Shettima as Vice-Chairman I and APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda as Vice-Chairman II.

Other notable appointments include Senator Ajibola Basiru as Deputy Secretary and Hadiza Bala-Usman as Assistant Secretary. The council comprises various deputy director-generals, zonal directors, and a legal directorate, with Tinubu urging all members to work diligently to secure victory in the January 2027 elections.
