APM Urges US to Release FBI Report on Tinubu Allegations

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has called on the United States Government to disclose relevant portions of a Federal Bureau of Investigation report that allegedly details drug-trafficking activities associated with President Bola Tinubu. APM's National Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Abubakar, stated that withholding the findings could exacerbate public suspicion and calls for scrutiny of Tinubu as the 2027 presidential election approaches.

The party emphasized that sensitive information could be redacted to protect witnesses and investigative techniques while still releasing non-sensitive material. The APM referenced a 1993 U.S.

District Court judgment that forfeited $460,000 from accounts linked to Tinubu, arguing that this historical judgment is pertinent to current political discussions and may affect Tinubu's eligibility under Section 137 of the 1999 Constitution. The party urged U.S. authorities to consider Nigeria's international obligations regarding drug trafficking and money laundering, asserting that Nigerian voters deserve access to credible information about presidential candidates.
