Tinubu, Soludo, Abba Approved Oba-Uga-Akokwa Road Project

Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, a member of the House of Representatives for Ideato North/South Federal Constituency, praised President Bola Tinubu, Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, and Speaker Tajudeen Abba for the recent approval of the Oba-Nnewi-Uga-Akokwa road project. This project, which spans 150 kilometers, is part of a major dual carriageway initiative aimed at improving regional connectivity and boosting economic activities across Southeast Nigeria.

The approval followed discussions between the federal government and the Anambra State government, initiated during Governor Soludo's meeting with President Tinubu on July 1, 2026. The formal proposal was submitted by the Anambra State government on July 3, and the project was approved on July 15.

Ugochinyere emphasized the project's significance in reducing travel time and enhancing trade, while also addressing the long-standing neglect of the Akokwa-Arondizuogu-Okigwe road, which has become dangerous for users. He called for the full-scale rehabilitation of the road to alleviate the suffering of constituents.
