Shehu Sani: Tinubu Prioritizes Nigeria's Future Over Politics

On Wednesday, former Kaduna Central senator Shehu Sani expressed that President Bola Tinubu is more focused on Nigeria's future than on maintaining his political goodwill. During an appearance on TVC’s This Morning show, Sani discussed the state of the nation ahead of the 2027 elections.

He criticized past presidents for managing problems without taking decisive actions that would benefit the country long-term. Sani praised Tinubu for being the first president willing to implement significant reforms, even if they are unpopular and generate backlash.

He referenced historical examples from countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brazil, Thailand, and South Korea, noting that nations often face difficult decisions that may not be popular but are necessary for future advancement. Sani concluded that Tinubu's approach, which involves implementing painful reforms, is essential for the long-term benefit of Nigeria.
