Tinubu Leads FEC Meeting, Honors Deceased Ex-Ministers

President Bola Tinubu presided over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held at the Council Chambers in the State House, Abuja. Before the meeting commenced, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, called for a minute of silence to honor two former council members who recently passed away.

The deceased were Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, who served as Minister of Finance during the regime of former military President General Ibrahim Babangida and died on July 30 at the age of 89, and Professor Turner Isoun, who was the Minister of Science and Technology under former President Olusegun Obasanjo and passed away on July 15 at the age of 87. The meeting proceeded with the attendance of several members, including Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack; Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; the National Security Adviser, ministers, and other aides of the President.
