Tinubu Returns to Lagos for Political Engagements

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to Nigeria on September 29, arriving in Lagos at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, where he was welcomed by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other dignitaries. His trip abroad began on August 30, when he left Abuja for London as part of his annual leave, later traveling to Paris for official engagements.

Tinubu's return to Lagos is linked to his intention to honor the late Chief MKO Abiola and participate in Nigeria's 66th Independence Anniversary on October 1. He is expected to remain in Lagos for several days to meet with political leaders and associates as part of preparations for the 2027 elections.

His Special Assistant on Social Media, Olusegun Dada, confirmed his arrival, while Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga outlined the President's upcoming strategic meetings. During his time in Paris, Tinubu held high-level discussions, including a dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron and meetings with businessman Vincent Bolloré.
