Tinubu Launches AI Security Strategy for Nigerian Army

On Monday, during the grand final of the 2026 Nigerian Army Day celebration held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, President Bola Tinubu announced a new AI-driven security strategy designed to enhance Nigeria's military capabilities against emerging threats. He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to deploying artificial intelligence and advanced technologies to strengthen Nigeria's security architecture.

Tinubu stated that the government would pursue comprehensive modernization of the Nigerian Army, invest in advanced technology, and expand indigenous defense production to enhance operational capacity. The event, themed "Protecting the Nation, Serving the People," saw attendance from senior military officials, government representatives, and foreign delegates, including Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Tinubu emphasized the need for sustained investment in military capabilities and the importance of building partnerships to promote local product creation and skill employment. He praised the dedication of Nigerian Army personnel and reiterated the government's determination to transform the military to effectively respond to contemporary security challenges.
