Tinubu and Wike Inaugurate Transformed Abuja City Gate

On Thursday night, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nyesom Wike commended Julius Berger Nigeria PLC for successfully transforming the Abuja City Gate, a project inaugurated as part of the celebrations marking the third anniversary of Tinubu's administration and the 50th anniversary of the Federal Capital Territory. The remodeled monument is described as a vital symbol of national identity and urban modernization, reflecting the administration's commitment to improving the capital city.

The project includes a redesigned water fountain representing Nigeria's 36 states and aims to provide visitors with a first-class impression of Abuja. Wike noted that the City Gate had suffered years of neglect before this intervention, which was inspired by the First Lady's concern for the structure.

The FCT administration signed a memorandum of understanding with Julius Berger for the monument's maintenance to ensure it remains in excellent condition. The project was completed within the timeline set by the FCT administration, allowing for its commissioning during the anniversary events.
