Tinubu to Gain More Northern Votes in 2027, Says Sani

Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, stated during an interview on Tuesday that he is confident President Bola Tinubu will receive more votes from Northern Nigeria in the 2027 general elections than he did in 2023. Sani attributed this expected increase in support to Tinubu's development achievements in the region.

He emphasized that Northern voters will base their decisions on performance rather than religious, ethnic, or tribal considerations. Sani dismissed claims that the North would reject Tinubu's re-election bid as unfounded, labeling such assertions as the "laziest argument." He maintained that Tinubu has delivered significant development projects in Northern Nigeria, contrasting his administration with previous leaders.

Sani's remarks reflect a strong belief in Tinubu's ability to garner substantial support from the North in the upcoming elections.
