ADC Chieftain Eze Critiques Tinubu's Impact on Judiciary

Chukwuemeka Eze, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has publicly criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration, claiming it has tarnished the judiciary in Nigeria. Eze's remarks came after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of restoring David Mark's leadership of the ADC.

In a statement released on Friday, Eze expressed his discontent with the actions of Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Joash Amupitan, stating that their actions have created obstacles to democracy in Nigeria. He urged President Tinubu to draft a handover note in preparation for a return to Lagos State.

Eze advised the ADC to focus on its primary functions as a prominent opposition party and to resolve leadership disputes to enhance organizational stability and political participation ahead of the 2027 general elections. He praised the Supreme Court's judgment for upholding justice regarding the ADC's leadership issues, which he believes have further complicated the judiciary's integrity.
