Kano Governor Backs Tinubu's Second Term Bid

Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Governor of Kano State, congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the submission of his nomination form to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2027 presidential election. In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Batur Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf called on Nigerians, irrespective of political affiliations, ethnicity, or religion, to rally behind President Tinubu to sustain the current momentum of economic development and reforms across the country.

This appeal came shortly after the submission of the nomination form at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) event held at Ladi Kwali Hall in Abuja. Ibrahim Kabir Masari, a special adviser on political matters, presented the nomination form on behalf of Yusuf.

The governor described this submission as a milestone in Nigeria's democratic journey and expressed confidence that President Tinubu would consolidate ongoing reforms to accelerate national development. He also commended Vice President Kashim Shettima and the APC leadership for their commitment to strengthening the party and ensuring a peaceful, transparent, and credible electoral process.
