Tinubu Congratulates Tijjaniyya Followers in Kano

During the annual Tijjaniyya dhikr gathering in Kano State, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, conveying the President's goodwill and expressing happiness at the occasion. The event, attended by thousands of worshippers, underscored the Tijjaniyya sect's enduring tradition and its contributions to peace and harmony in Kano.

Governor Yusuf noted the importance of the gathering and assured that his administration would engage with clerics to strengthen religious communities and develop initiatives. He mentioned that the state government is compiling data on Tijjaniyya members across Kano's 44 local government areas, maintaining records of approximately 6,000 members.

Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II praised the annual gathering and emphasized the need for traditional rulers and politicians to work together for societal transformation. He also commended Governor Yusuf for his development efforts and called for unity and peace as the country approaches the election season.
