Adeleke's Spokesman Rules Out APC Defection After Visit

Pelumi Olajengbesi, the spokesperson for the Ademola Adeleke Campaign Council, stated that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke will not be defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This clarification followed Adeleke's recent courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu in Abuja, which Olajengbesi described as a demonstration of respect for the presidency and an appreciation for the support of democratic institutions during the Osun governorship election.

Olajengbesi emphasized that the visit was not indicative of any plans for Adeleke to join the APC, labeling such a move as "an impossibility." He noted that the meeting also focused on the need for healing and reconciliation in Osun State post-election, with Tinubu agreeing that it was an opportune time to unite the people. Olajengbesi reiterated that Adeleke would continue to collaborate with the Federal Government on developmental issues affecting Osun State and Nigeria.
