Umahi Faces Backlash Over Physiotherapist's Mysterious Death

David Umahi, the Minister of Works in Nigeria, is under public scrutiny following the death of physiotherapist Mary Habila, who reportedly resided in Uburu, Ebonyi State. A statement issued by Franci Nweze, Senior Special Assistant on Media, described Habila's death as unfortunate and expressed shock.

Habila had been employed at the Federal University of Health Sciences in Uburu for three years. The Ministry confirmed that immediate measures were taken after Habila was found unresponsive, including contacting medical personnel and notifying the police.

However, the family declined the recommendation for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Reports indicate that Habila was found dead in the Minister's residence under suspicious circumstances, with claims that she was discovered without clothing.

The case has raised significant controversy, and the matter has been transferred to the Ebonyi State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
