APC's Mahmud Claims Power Until 2031 at CBM Launch

On Monday, Mariya Mahmud, the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, asserted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will remain in power until at least 2031, during the launch of the City Boy Movement (CBM). This political organization focuses on youth and women to support President Bola Tinubu's re-election.

Mahmud emphasized the importance of including young Nigerians, who constitute 60 to 70 percent of the population, in political efforts. She cited initiatives like the student loan scheme under the Nigerian Loan Fund (NELFUND) and ongoing reforms in Abuja as evidence of Tinubu's accomplishments, which she believes will resonate with voters.

CBM Director-General Francis Oluwatosin Shoga outlined the movement's goal of recruiting 10 million members and urged participants to engage with their communities. Kano's CBM coordinator, Nasir Bala Ja'oji, reported that Kano has registered 189,111 members, leading the national membership drive.

Muhammad Jamo Yusuf, a member of the CBM National Working Committee, praised the grassroots initiatives supported by the APC.
