NNPP Senatorial Candidate Resigns, Citing Personal Reasons

Damilar, a prominent senatorial candidate from NNPP in Ogun State, has officially resigned from the party, effective immediately, as per his resignation letter dated February 7, 2026. He cited personal convictions and the current political landscape as reasons for his decision, emphasizing that it was not influenced by internal party crises.

Damilar expressed appreciation for the opportunities provided by NNPP but stated his resignation was made in good faith. He reassured Nigerians of his commitment to public service and hinted at continuing his political journey elsewhere.
