Trabzonspor Makes Loan Offer for Tolu Arokodare

Trabzonspor has formally approached Wolverhampton Wanderers with a loan proposal for Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare, as reported by Turkish journalist Zeki Uzundurukan. The Turkish Süper Lig side is looking to bolster its attack ahead of the new campaign, particularly as they anticipate the departure of fellow Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu.

Arokodare, who has a long-term contract with Wolves until 2025, has attracted significant interest following Wolves' relegation from the Premier League last season. He made 33 Premier League appearances, with 13 starts, during a challenging first season in England.

Trabzonspor faces competition from fellow Turkish clubs Besiktas and Fenerbahce, with Besiktas reportedly having a £15 million verbal offer rejected by Wolves. Wolves, under new coach Cesar Peixoto, are seeking a permanent sale rather than a loan, aiming to recoup the £24 million paid to sign Arokodare from Genk.

However, a temporary loan move appears to be a realistic option as negotiations continue.
