Trabzonspor Rejects Tekke's Resignation After Defeat

Trabzonspor rejected the resignation of head coach Fatih Tekke following a 4-0 defeat to Ferencvaros in the Europa League, resulting in a 5-0 aggregate loss. The club stated that Tekke, 48, made his decision under the “intense emotional impact” of the defeat.

Salah, who joined Trabzonspor after leaving Liverpool, expressed his commitment to the club, stating that setbacks motivate him to achieve more. He emphasized that he is fully invested in Trabzonspor's project, despite the defeat.

Trabzonspor, which finished third in the Super Lig last season, will now compete in the Europa Conference League, facing opponents including Scottish side Hearts. The club has strengthened its squad during the summer transfer window, signing former Liverpool midfielder Fabinho and bringing back Andre Onana on loan from Manchester United.
