Courtois: Rodri's Barcelona Move Is His Loss

Thibaut Courtois, the goalkeeper for Real Madrid, expressed his views on Rodri's recent transfer decision during a half-time interview in a match against Espanyol. Courtois remarked that Rodri, who was a target for Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, has missed a major opportunity by opting to join Barcelona instead of Los Blancos.

He stated, “Well, everyone decides what they want to do. If he chose another club, it’s his loss.” Rodri was signed by Barcelona from Manchester City for €76 million, successfully outmaneuvering Real Madrid, who were considered frontrunners for the midfielder's signature.

This decision has reportedly caused some discontent within the Real Madrid camp, as it is uncommon for players to decline the opportunity to join the prestigious club, which has won the UEFA Champions League 15 times.
