Rodri Chooses Barcelona Over Real Madrid This Summer

Rodri, the Spanish international midfielder currently with Manchester City, has made the decision to join Barcelona, effectively choosing them over Real Madrid, who have been long-term admirers. His agent, Pablo Barquero, confirmed that Rodri has communicated his decision to Real Madrid, stating, “Out of respect for Madrid, as they have been class, Rodri informed them that his decision is to join Barca.” Barquero also indicated that personal terms with Barcelona have been fully agreed upon.

On Tuesday, Rodri reportedly met with Hansi Flick and Deco, a former Barcelona central midfielder, at the Nou Camp, where he is believed to have finalized his agreement to join the club. This move comes as Real Madrid's pursuit of Rodri appears to have stalled, allowing Barcelona to secure the midfielder's signature.
