Transfer: Nigerian defender set to join Serbian club, Red Star Belgrade

Nigerian defender Franklin Tebo is on the brink of joining Serbian club Red Star Belgrade, according to reports. Tebo, who currently plays for Norwegian outfit Sarpsborg, is set to make the move after Red Star Belgrade offered an improved transfer fee.

Sarpsborg initially hesitated to sell Tebo but eventually agreed to let him go to the Serbian club, which will give him the chance to play in the UEFA Champions League next season. Tebo will be joining fellow Nigerian player Peter Olayinka at Red Star Belgrade, who also made a move from Sarpsborg to a Swedish side in 2023.
