Ademola Lookman’s Transfer to Atletico Madrid Explained

Ademola Lookman did not join Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray due to complications in the transfer process, as explained by his agent, Georg Gardi. Galatasaray had shown interest in signing Lookman during the last two transfer windows, and Osimhen had even discussed the possibility of Lookman joining him at the club.

However, Lookman ended up transferring to Atletico Madrid during the January transfer window. Gardi noted that the deal with Inter Milan had collapsed previously because Atalanta refused to let Lookman go, emphasizing that top-level players often face challenges in transfers due to various factors.

Gardi stated that the demands from the Bergamo club were high, which complicated the negotiations and ultimately led to Lookman's move to Atletico Madrid instead of Galatasaray.
