Catterall Warns Man City: Selling Rodri Risks EPL Title

Adam Catterall, an award-winning broadcaster and football analyst, stated that Manchester City will not win the Premier League title this season if they sell midfielder Rodri. Following his contributions to Spain's FIFA World Cup victory, Rodri has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium.

Catterall emphasized that Rodri has overcome previous injury issues and is performing at his best again. He asserted that Rodri's departure, particularly to Real Madrid, would significantly diminish City's chances of reclaiming the Premier League title.

Discussions regarding Rodri's potential transfer to Real Madrid are already underway, with expectations that he could join by the beginning of the 2026-27 season. Rodri, currently 30 years old, has not yet accepted a new contract from Manchester City, despite an offer, as his existing contract is set to expire next June.

Manchester City has invested £116 million in acquiring Elliot Anderson this summer and is also pursuing Ayyoub Bouaddi as a potential replacement for Rodri.
