Troops Seize 660 Litres of Suspected Illegal AGO in Delta
On Wednesday, troops from the 181 Amphibious Battalion, in collaboration with Tantita Security, intercepted 660 litres of suspected illegally refined automotive gas oil (AGO) in Delta State. The operation took place in Ughelli North Local Government Area, where 22 jerrycans of the product were seized from two vehicles.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the product was purchased by a heavy-duty truck driver involved in the construction of the Ewu Ogoda link bridge in Ughelli South Local Government Area. The suspected AGO has been recovered and is currently in custody, with samples sent to a laboratory for testing to ascertain its viscosity.
