Troops Seize 400 Starlink Devices Linked to Terrorists

Troops operating in North-East Nigeria intercepted 400 Starlink communication devices believed to be used by Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists. Brig Gen Beyidi Martin disclosed this during a defense briefing, stating that the seizure was part of an intelligence-led operation aimed at dismantling the terrorists' logistical communication network within the Sambisa Forest and Timbuktu Triangle.

The operation has disrupted the supply chain that supports terrorist activities, including food, fuel, drugs, and motorcycle spare parts. The troops have arrested hundreds of logistical suppliers and couriers, significantly impacting the insurgents' operational capabilities.

Additionally, it was revealed that insurgents exploit livestock markets to fund their activities by selling rustled animals. The military has introduced verification measures in the animal trade to sustain offensive operations and weaken insurgent activities across the region.
