Troops Enhance Security After Kidnap Threat in Kaduna

Troops from the Nigerian Army have tightened security in Anwar Hali Village, Kauru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, after a threat letter from suspected kidnappers was discovered. The incident occurred at 11:45 AM on May 1, when troops from Sector 7, Sub-Sector 75, were alerted to a suspicious message found within the community.

According to security sources, the letter, written in Hausa, reportedly contained two rounds of 7.62mm ammunition and a telephone number allegedly provided for contacting the perpetrators. In response, troops established contact with the number as part of preliminary investigative procedures.

Security sources reassured residents of their safety, while authorities confirmed that surveillance and patrol activities have significantly intensified across the area. The security officials emphasized the importance of proactive engagement and rapid response measures to prevent potential attacks and maintain public confidence in the community.
