Police Arrest Two for N7.5m Stolen Vehicle in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects, Mustapha Suleiman and Rabiu Garba, in connection with the theft of a Toyota Hilux vehicle valued at N7.5 million. The vehicle was reported stolen from River State in June 2026.

The arrest followed a complaint from Aliyu Usman, who discovered that the vehicle he purchased for N7.5 million was stolen. Preliminary investigations revealed that the vehicle was sold to Usman by the suspects, who are currently at large.

The police spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroj, confirmed that the suspects were apprehended after Usman reported the matter to the police. The police have successfully recovered the stolen vehicle and are tracing its actual owner.

Kabiru Hassan, the Commissioner of Police, commended Usman for his honesty and urged the public to verify ownership documents before purchasing vehicles. The investigation is ongoing, and the suspects will be charged in court accordingly.
