Police Arrest Two in Adamawa Over Stolen Toyota Hilux

The Adamawa State Police Command arrested two suspects, Mustapha Suleiman and Rabiu Garba, in connection with a robbery case involving a stolen Toyota Hilux. The vehicle, which was purchased for 7.5 million naira, was reported stolen from River State in June 2026.

The arrest followed a complaint by Aliyu Usman, who discovered that the vehicle he bought was stolen. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were involved in a conspiracy to sell the stolen vehicle.

Upon learning of the theft, Usman promptly reported the matter to the police, leading to the successful recovery of the Toyota Hilux and the arrest of the suspects. Kabiru Hassan, a police commissioner, commended Usman's honesty and urged the public to verify ownership documents before purchasing vehicles.

The police are continuing their efforts to apprehend additional suspects involved in the case, and the arrested individuals will be charged in court.
